Please review the following information before using the IDUN Guardian Earbuds 3 (occasionally hereafter referred to as the ‘device’). Failure to heed the following warnings could result in an accident or medical event resulting in death or serious injury.

Disclaimer

The IDUN Guardian Earbuds 3 is not a medical device and not suitable for any diagnostic purposes. Its sole intended purpose is the measurement and evaluation of EEG data, measured in the external auditory canal. Do not use it for any other purpose. If the device breaks, please follow our Support Channel for assistance.

Operating Conditions

Attention: Operation outside of the permissible range can considerably shorten the lifespan or damage the device. Please use the device within the following conditions only:

Temperature during use and storage: 0 °C to 45 °C.
Temperature during charging: 0 °C to 45 °C.
Humidity during use and storage: of 10 % to 90 % (non-condensing).
Altitude during use: maximum 2000 meters.
For indoor use only.

Battery

A lithium-polymer battery is used in this device. If these guidelines are not followed the battery may experience a shortened lifespan or may present a risk of damage to the device, fire, explosion, chemical burn, electrolyte leak, and/or injury.

Do not damage, pierce, or disassemble the device or battery in any way.
Do not place the device or battery near fire or other hazard.
Only use a DC 5 V, 125 mA charger with a cable length less than 3 meters that is in compliance with national and/or international standards to charge the device.
Do not operate the device while the device is charging.

Faulty or Damaged Products

Do not handle or use the device if it shows signs of damage, degradation, or contamination as this may result in electric shock, fire, and/or injury.
If the device malfunctions or shows signs of damage, the user should reach out to the IDUN Technologies support team at support@iduntechnologies.com.

Warnings and Cautions

The user must be above the age of 18.
If you have a pacemaker or other internal electronic device, do not use or bring the IDUN Guardian Earbuds 3 into proximity of the internal device.
Do not bring the device into the proximity of strong magnetic fields such as in MRI or TMS scenarios.
Immediately stop using and take off the device if it feels hot during use.
Immediately stop using the device and seek medical attention if skin irritation is experienced during use.
Do not put the device or its components in contact with water, wear the device in the shower, touch the device with wet or sweaty hands, or expose the device to situations where the device may get soaked in any liquid.
Do not insert the Earpieces into the ear without Wings and Eartips attached.
Take care when removing the Earpieces from your ears, for example by adding a forward rotational movement, to avoid the Eartip remaining lodged inside the ear canal.
In the event of the Eartip remaining lodged in the ear, seek medical attention and do not attempt to remove it without assistance from a medical professional.
Do not store or use the device and its accessories in locations where children are likely to be present, as the small parts may present a choking hazard.
Read this entire manual before using the device. Failure to do so could result in suboptimal system performance or injury.
